Kinesthetic Intelligence Plus' roster of professional teaching
artists are experienced performers and trained teaching artists who are hired as independent contractors on a per project
basis.
Master Teaching Aritist in Drama, Storytelling and Dance Dafna Soltes Stein serves as our Education Director.
She designs residencies and is the lead teacher in most projects. She is the author/playwright of two one woman shows
The Story of Hannah Senesh and Irina: The Story of a Soviet Refusenik, both written and performed by her
throughout the USA, Canada, Israel and the former Soviet Union. She is a co-creator and author with Dr. Cheryl Chitayat of
Pass-Around Storytelling:The Shared Storytelling Game for home, family and classroom use. Dafna has been a teaching
artist for over 30 years designing dance, drama and storytelling curricula for public schools, after school programs, Jewish
Day schools and summer camps in the New York Metropolitan Area and Long Island. She has performed her two one woman shows
and well as contemporary Modern Dance repertoire in schools, colleges, universities and theatres in the USA, Mexico, Canada,
Israel, Greece, and the former Soviet Union. Dafna holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama and Dance from Bard College
1974, and a LabanBartenieff Certification in Movement Analysis 1981 from the LabanBartenieff Institute of Movement Studies.
