How we do what we do:   Kinesthetic Intelligence Plus, Inc. creatively integrates the arts of dance, drama and storytelling with core curriculum subject areas.  School residencies, professional development workshops and informal performances support classroom learning goals that address New York State learning standards.  Units of study are designed in cooperation with administration and school faculty addressing needs defined by them. These partnerships support classroom teachers in discovering new and meaningful tools for engaging student learners through the arts.    Our mission is to engage, activate and animate student learners towards reflective self expression.  To guide students in exploring and defining meaning in reaching for authentic experiences that offer a strong sense of place, a strong point of view, a strong sense of purpose and a strong sense of integrity. Our goal is to offer art experiences that encourage student discovery of what it means to be humane rather than merely human; embracing our diversity while searching for common meaning.      All art making activities woven into our programs offer a multiple intelligences approach to holistic, whole brain learning.  Students develop the habits of mind embodied by art making such as taking risks, trusting uncertainty, imagining possibilities, thinking critically and being persistent.  These habits provide them with essential skills not only for exploring academic areas artistically, but offer a valuable perspective for engaging the world with an attitude of open minded flexibility, of innovative creativity.   Whether coming into a school with an established program design or creating a customized program in partnership with school faculty and administrators, Kinesthetic Intelligence Plus, Inc. has gained a reputation for delivering top quality in the field of arts education.   contact@kintelplus.org
